Mats Eilertsen (born in Trondheim on March 4, 1975) is a bassist and composer. He studied at the jazz program in Trondheim (NTNU). He has previously played with Maria Kannegaard Trio Ola Kvernberg, Nils Økland, Eldbjørg Raknes, Anders Aarum Trio, Sverre Gjørvad, Kåre Nymark Collective, SKRUK, Jazzmob, Dingobats, Håkon Kornstad Trio, the band Food with English Iain Ballamy, Jacob Young Band, Solveig Slettahjells Slow Motion Orchestra , Havard Wiik Trio and jazz code. On Aim records he released two albums as a leader of Turanga with Fredrik Ljungkvist (clarinet), Ernst Reijseger (cello) and Thomas Strønen (drums). With the Finnish pianist Alexi Tuomarilas trio he released Constellations (Jazz Away, 2006) with Olavi Luohivuori (drums).
