Mark Adderley

Mark Adderley (b. 1960 in England) studied the bassoon at the Guildhall School of Music in London before moving to Norway in 1981. His studies in composition began in earnest when he entered the composition class at the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo in 1985, where his teachers were Olav Anton Thommessen and Lasse Thoresen. He is now active as a full-time composer receiving the award for Composition of the Year, 1994, from the Norwegian Society of Composers. 2005
