Laila Yrvum´s new release features 14 songs on the simple, complicated nature of everyday life. This is the first release by Yrvum to consist only of self-composed material. Since her debut, Yrvum has been one of the leading communicators of gypsy music and culture in Norway, and she has released several albums with the musical traditions of the Norwegian gypsy culture. With this release, however, she has moved towards the roots of the popular music she grew up with. "Langs veien" is a personal and joyful album, communicating Laila Yrvum´s musical diversity.
